How we got our start?
Kneelypad got its start years ago when I (Brian) was trying to figure out a way to maintain good posture and reduce back pain while working. I've tried every office chair desk on the marketing - kneeling chairs, wobble chairs, bobble chairs, wobble bobble chairs, standing desk, you name it. None did the trick for me, and they all had their drawbacks. I knew the key to back pain and overall postural health was undoing the tight hips and compressed lower back from chronic sitting, so I started playing around with ways to stretch and work at the same time.
Eventually I found myself kneeling on various pillows, once again playing around with different products and materials. My cousin spotted me working while kneeling on one of my pillows and it struck him right there:
"Brian! You should make this a product!"
And so it began. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention. I knew if I was crazy enough to kneel while working and find these alternative positions to work from home in a way that betters one's health, posture, and overall biomechanics, that maybe a few others might be up for it too.
Well, a couple years later after several product iterations and valiant yet naive attempts at perfection, Kneelypad was born. It has since taken flight with Kneely's beloved customers finding all sorts of clever ways to utilize the product. The use cases and counting are as follows:
- Yoga block
- Yoga knee cushion
- Meditation cushion
- To prop your butt up while sitting on one leg in a chair
- Gardening knee pad
- Floor sitting pad
- Exercise pad for elbows and knees depending on the movement
- Knee pad while holiday gift wrapping
- And of course, as a sitting alternative to office desk sitting
What makes our product unique?
Kneelypad is made with highly durable yet comfortable material with optimal dimensions for home office desk use as well as the versatility to use for exercise, yoga, meditation, etc.
